The color dye on colored mulch doesn't last very long so we prefer to use mulch with no dyes. Also larger mulch types can harbor insects and their larvae, causing infestations in your garden. If you still prefer colored mulch the micro mulch lays flat and can easily be dressed with another color or type of mulch. This saves you money and gives you the look you want.
